FORCE/COLLIDE EXPANDS WITH NEW PARTNERSHIP: PRACTIK

F/C owner Chelsea Gaddy here! I'm long overdue to come up for air to share exciting news. In January of this year, I co-founded a second business with collaborator and friend Ignacio Lopez called Practik. Ignacio joined the team at Force/Collide in 2023, bringing nearly 20 years of experience in artwork fabrication. At the end of 2024, we completed the sculpture "Inheritance" by Michelle de la Vega together for Sound Transit, and from there, we jumped at the opportunity to join forces.

Practik manages, fabricates, and installs monumental artwork at a new scale. We laid the groundwork in the first half of 2025, leveling up with new equipment, more space, and our fantastic OG team.

This year, Practik has had the pleasure of fabricating and installing large-scale works by Catherine Widgery for Sound Transit and Damon Brown for Seattle Office of Arts & Culture. We recently broke ground on the fabrication of two permanent sculptures for Sound Transit Federal Way Link Extension by artist Christopher Paul Jordan.

We're fortunate to dive head first into such inspiring and challenging collaborations. Thank you to our founding staff for helping us keep up and grow the vision: Tara Steele, Sean Landers, Cathy Le, Travis Leonard, Jonathan Carmichael, and May Paradise; and to our partners who help make it possible to put more art in the world: Ashley Long, Kurt Kiefer, Tim Marsden, Jason Huff, Henry Cowdery, Chris Shaw, Nick Geurts, and many more.

On a personal note, I'm beyond grateful for our community and the growth this partnership has brought. Force/Collide isn’t going anywhere and will continue to specialize in custom furniture and architectural work with a focus on original pieces designed by me. I look forward to forward to sharing more - visit www.practikarts.com to learn more about our services or follow us on instagram.
